I used to have this girlfriend whose husband just never paid any attention to her. It turns out the poor guy was hard of hearing.
So... wifey took him to a specialist, and ended up purchasing hearing aids for him. They were those special ones that needed to be implanted.
Well... one day her hubby, whose eyesight was also failing, went to the doctor to get the devices implanted. But... as bad luck would have it... he ran into a bit of a problem because of his eyesight.
When he got to the medical building, he mis-read the signs, and went into the dentist's office instead of visiting the ear specialist. The dentist... also being an older fellow whose skills were in decline... ended up taking the two hearing devices and implanted them in two of the gentleman's teeth.
So now... the wife thinks her husband can hear her, but unfortunately, he only hears her when he "chews" to. < ducking >

Karen:
Good morning, thanks for the humor. Hope you have a great weekend.
Karen - a good "shaggy dog" story to start the weekend. I shall store it...
Alan: It's so dark and dreary here in drizzly Fort Worth this morning. I just HAD to do something... LOL
Larry: So THIS is what a "shaggy dog" story is? Whenever I have heard that saying... I always wondered where it came from. Google... here I come. Sometimes my "humor" is so "out in the middle of nowhere"... I have no clue if anyone will "get it." We shall see. I know this one's a stretch.
So funny I sure needed a good laugh today. Thanks for sharing the humor I hope you have a great weekend.
Pat: Thank you so much. It was just a twisted little story that crept into my brain while I was sipping my coffee this morning. I'm glad it brought a smile to your face. And you and the folks at Camelot have a great weekend, as well.
I think my husband went to the same dentist. Have a great day, Karen Anne. .
Nice chuckle Karen, thank you! Have a great weekend.
Ok, I had to read that twice. Cute!! And most men are like this whether they have implants or not. :)
Always room for a good laugh on a busy weekend! Thanks for providing some comic relief ;)
Have a great night!
Oh, the many sides of Karen Anne... From political posts to good clean fun. That's the ticket.
Karen Anne, I can relate because there is something about that selective hearing.
Hi Karen Anne,
I love it! I think I can relate!! Thanks for sharing!
That was so incredibly bad....I'd be ducking too! LOL!
Okay listen up...that joke is a bit hard to swallow...nyuk nyuk nyuk.
Great way to start a Monday morning with a laugh. :) Have a great week!
Thanks for the Monday morning smile Karen. Hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to a great week ahead my friend ....
What a groaner Karen Anne. Thanks for the clean joke.
Karen Anne, pretty hilarious. I like the corny ones like this.
Karen Ann ~ corniest joke I've heard in a LONG time. :)
Haha...:-) And some of these comments are pretty funny too.. :-) I hope you are having a great week! -Kasey
Mona and Diane: You're thanking me for a corny joke? Awww... "shucks." < I'm sorry, but I guess you need to think about that one, too. >
And yes, if I were to tell this joke out loud, it would be with a "husky" voice. Yes, I would be giving you an "ear" full. And if you ran away from me so I could not tell you any more "corny" jokes... I would track you down. Kinda like "stalk'ing" you, I guess. Hmmmm
Thanks for the early morning chuckle Karen.
GROAN, GROAN, GROAN, but groaning with a smile on my face, Karen Anne.
Juli: Oh, thank you so much. A "groan" is my preferred response to jokes like this. But... to get THREE groans, and all three in CAPITAL letters... wow. What more could a girl with a demented sense of humor want. :) Hopefully you rolled your eyes while you were groaning...
Good Morning Karen Anne,
no this one should be featured...I cannot believe that nobody suggested it. I will. It is funny! Thanks for saring. Have a great weekend
Karen Ann, lol - too funny and too corny :)
Sharon
Oh, No! I "chews" to read it, giggle, and then tell you that all of the pix in my Meet Up post are now labeled. Thanks for visiting!
