It is an extreme rarity that I re-blog anything. It is also a rarity that I make myself find the time to WATCH a video like THIS one. But, I made myself do it, and YOU need to make yourself watch this video as well.
From the video, it appears that we, as women, get heart attacks quite unlike the male half of the species does. (Those doofus guys still ARE a part of our species, arent they ???)
Anyway. Please... watch this video. It may either save YOUR life, or may help you save the life of a woman you know and love.
Bless Your Heart !

It Started Out Like A Totally Normal Day.
In 2010 1.2 Million Poeple died from heart attacks.
515,000 were women who didn't recognize the symptoms.
Heart disease kills more women than any other disease!
While there is nothing funny about a heart attack, this video does a superb job of getting the message across and having the symptoms stick in your head. Men watch this and keep an eye on that special lady in your life. Women, watch this and take head to these warning signs. Don't brush these symptoms off as nothing!
When a woman has a heart attack the symptoms are much more subtle than when a man does.
Symptoms;
Pain in the neck, arms, jaw, back and/or stomach.
Shortness of breath.
Cold sweats.
Nausea and/or stomach ache.
Dizziness.
Tiredness.
Know the symptoms, recognize the symptoms and don't hesitate to call 911!

Phew. I am so NOT in touch with myself that I would probably think it was menopause until it was too late. That is quite a wake up call.
And here I thought all these symptoms came from the thought of visiting the kitchen. Sorry my bad...
Ellie: I glanced over it at first, myself. But... something caught my attention about it, and I watched it. And then again, and then a third time. Then I re-blogged it. I am so glad you watched it. Your son, even though he doesn't know it, probably is, too.
Winston... I am sure there are better times to attempt humor. Try and get your wife (?), your mother (?) and any other of the women in your life you hold dear to watch this. Serious stuff.
Hi Karen Anne, this is one of those blogs that is very re-blog worthy! This message needs to get out there more. I know many doctors and hospitals are even now just catching on to this. I remember when I was taking ephedra..a much lower dose than recommended but my heart started flipping, my arm felt odd...etc. Of course I didn't say anything because at the time my hubby was going through a lot of stress with a move..myself as well. I finally told him a couple of days later and he insisted we go to the ER. I actually had to insist that I have an eeg/ekg. Turns out even goign to the ER couple of days later my blood pressure was very high..I think it was 190/90 or something like that. If I were a man, I would have been given those tests right away. We as woman need to be very proactive and speak up. That was a wake up call to me that some times these over the counter "natural" things can be just as harmful as some drugs.
Cindy: I haven't heard about anyone taking those ephedra drugs for quite a while... but way back then, I was one of them doing it, as well. Then it got discontinued. I remember, I was angry about it, at the time. But wow... this video. So many of us seem to be natural "care-givers..." but the question always remains: Who takes care of the care-givers ? The only one we can count on, is us.
I am so glad you are still "with us." My my blood pressure as of last Tuesday was 120/78. But then, there remains that little thing about needing my aortic valve replaced. Just a little thing.
Hi Karen, great regblog! I wore red on Friday too. Women tend to forget about taking care of themselves and I know I'm one of them. We all need to be aware of the signs.
Karen Anne, thank you so much for helping me spread the word. The more people that see this the more people who may take heed to the subtle symptoms. The more lives that may be saved!
Yep..the aortic valve...hey..just a teeny part of our bodies! My blood pressure is now usually 110/67....nice and low. I was mad when they took Fen Fen off the market..gosh, I loved that pill....but like you said, our hearts are important. Do you really need to get your valve replaced? Not fun :(
Cindy... that's what they are saying. They want to do a few more tests to make sure... but sheesh... that is Open Heart surgery... and it scares the absolute POOP out of me. I am like that. I fear both having it done, and also just putting it off, and having it end up killing me. Oh, what to do ?
I know... just have it done. Easy to say when you have a support system... even a small one. I have... nobody.
Thank you for sharing this video in an effort to save a life! You're the bomb!
