Laser Cat Bowling

Every once in awhile I come across a video that just totally makes me "laugh out loud." It doesn't happen very often. I guess I just either don't laugh that much... or rarely find things that pierce my skull sufficiently enough to make me laugh.

Obviously, this also goes out to all of my cat-loving friends. Two things here: Cats are very hard to "train" how to do tricks. Usually what must be done is either to tickle their curiosity... or make them think that whatever you want them to do... is their idea in the first place.

Enjoy !

That's really cute.  My little dog would probably do the same thing.

Karen Anne, that's cute. One of my puppies chases the reflection off his license - it's so funny.

That's pretty good....we have a laser for our cats also and it's loads of fun, almost as much as watching a baby.

Karen Anne - That is fabulous! My sweet little Maddie used to sit and fetch (for chicken). She is now 15 years old and only gets up to eat and use the litter box. The other four have just always been lazy...and too smart to give in to our human needs for entertainment :0)

Christina, you are very welcome.  I could probably see my Mollie T Cat doing something like this.  But, then again, cats are so unique in their personalities.  They are all special.

Janet, well... come on, then.  Get out that video camera, and make your puppy a star.  We'll wait right here.  The more smiles the merrier.

Posted by Karen Anne Stone, Fort Worth Real Estate (New Home Hunters of Fort Worth and Tarrant County) over 7 years ago

Juli, ok... you said it.  Now, don't tease us.  Get out your video camera, or borrow one, and show us how cute your puppy is.  And... it's a fun way to get another post written.

Posted by Karen Anne Stone, Fort Worth Real Estate (New Home Hunters of Fort Worth and Tarrant County) over 7 years ago

Karen, well... woman... if watching your baby is more fun than this... let's get some video up on the screen here for us to see.  Or... if your baby is no longer a baby... you could either "borrow one"... or have another.  < ducking >

Posted by Karen Anne Stone, Fort Worth Real Estate (New Home Hunters of Fort Worth and Tarrant County) over 7 years ago

Amy... where's the "orange top" picture ?  Here... we're gettin' closer to Summer, and you end up putting your clothes back on.  Yer no fun !  Anyhoo... nice new picture.  <smile>

Back to the cat stuff.  It sounds like your little Maddie and I have some things in common.  I am getting so old... that I rarely get up except to either eat, or use MY litter box.  Ya know, having one of those next to the recliner makes things so much easier.  < ewwww >

Ms Karen- that was one of the funniest videos I've seen. I'm going to get a laser for my friends and their cat!

Actually Karen...I just got all my hair chopped off (seriously...Still in shock) and must get a new photo, ARGHHHHHH.....

And, I said "the other four" out of habit, Our sweet little Bodean went to the Rainbow Bridge last month (He was our apple flinger).  So, now we only have a total of four.  What the heck would we do without our kitties?

Posted by Amy Hahn, Realtor/Broker - Crystal Coast, NC (Pine Knoll Shores Realty) over 7 years ago

Karen-   Wow... if I just knew I neededa laser to bowl a strike.   I love taking my kids bowling but it's a little embarrassing when my 5 year son Jett and Josslyn who is 9 always beats momma!   I am serious it happens all the time.   Daddy loves to give me hell about it too!

Funny stuff Karen Anne. We've got quite the mess here today with tons of rain because of 45 degree temps and massive meltdown of the snow. Flooding everywhere.

Miss Kathy, so glad I could make you smile.  If you get a laser, be REALLY careful.  If you happen to shine it in the cat's, or anyone's eyes, I am told it can really be harmful.  So, seriously, be careful.  Have a great week.

Posted by Karen Anne Stone, Fort Worth Real Estate (New Home Hunters of Fort Worth and Tarrant County) over 7 years ago

Amy, so when do we get to see a picture of "the new do ?"  And, so sorry about Bodean.  My last baby to leave was "Ally" about ten years ago.  I still cry when I think of her... but, then again, that is not uncommon for me.

Somewhere I have seen a story about the Rainbow Bridge you mentioned.  If you could find it, and send me a link, or even post about it, I would appreciate it.  And yes... what would be do without our kitties ?

Stephanie: Careful with any laser, puhleeze.  See my comment #19.

Taking your kids bowling... and having your Jett and Josslyn beat momma... not to worry.  That is something they will remember for a long, long time.  Building memories is one of the most treasured things a Momma can do.

And... poop on "Daddy."  Just let HIM try and have a child, and see how easy it is.  Next time you go bowling with him... drop a ball on his foot.  That should get his attention... < impish grin >  Hope things are well up in Frisco.

Keith:  You are very welcome.  Monday mornings are always a great time for an unexpected laugh.  And... if you are a regular reader of my blog posts... you would be quite correct in saying that you would have no idea what to expect.  I DO that.  Have a great week.

Barb:  So glad you enjoyed the video.  And... Yes, I call Cleveland Weather every other night or so... just to find out how horrible the weather is there.  I heard, (and say photos on Cleveland.com) about the snow, and Channel 5 had a story on the flooding they were expecting.  Not fun.  Do you get much flooding in Brecksville ?

I know over east... near the Chagrin River and the Grand River where they empty into Lake Erie... things can get pretty bad.  Hope you have a canoe !  Be careful.

Posted by Karen Anne Stone, Fort Worth Real Estate (New Home Hunters of Fort Worth and Tarrant County) over 7 years ago

Chris Ann, I knew when I first saw the video that the quality was a tad on the poopy side, but I could not find any better, so I used it because it was SO cute.

And... whaddya mean ?  I thought as busy as you are with LnF... you'd never be bored.  Hope you are well.

And WOW... I just noticed you are about to hit 800,000 points.  Hooray for YOU !  How can you be bored ?  You don't have time !

Sussie:  That was an adorable video.  Monday morning laughs are so hard to come by.

I have watched it (the video)... on and off... at least ten times.  Even pulled my Mollie T Cat up on my lap... and rocking her back and forth with me... we watched it together.  For some reason, she was not amused.  I bet, sooner or later, she gets even with me.  < smile >

Holly:  Yes... very clever and very funny.  I see by your picture that you are still laughing at it.  And that's a good thing.  Have a great week !

Hi Karen: Every night my little (once feral) cat waits for me to play 'chase the toy'... I have to pretend I am the bird and shake /tempt her with the toy, and she will hide under the bed or behind the door and run out and attack the toy... It is the regular game of the evening - every evening.. and is very cute.. they are jsut little people. Best, Gay

Karen, we play with our cats with the laser mouse all the time, and they are so funny.  If they saw it stopped, they thought it is under the rug or hiding in a box, they would keep looking for it.  It is truly a lol moment for us also.

What did the 500 pound canary say to the cat? Here kitty, kitty, here kitty, kitty.  Cute video!  I was so glad they did not do this trick on an actual bowling alley.  Best wishes.

Karen Anne - You have all the fun ... the only thing we get around here is a Jumping Frog contest in Calaveras County .... Kitty bowling could become the first event in feline Olympics!

I also have a laser light for her :Oodles of entertainment, though, thanks to your video, I must try bowling now :)

Leolinda, a friend emailed it to me.  She knows I occasionally do weird things with my cat Mollie T, and thought it might give me new ideas for her.

The problem is... that when I was watching it, Mollie T managed to watch it over my shoulder, and when she saw that "look" in my eye... Mollie gave me the kittie-finger.  She does that.
