Karen Anne at Her Blogging Desk...

Many Nights... Late at Night... I can usually be found at my "Blogging Desk."  I have received many, many requests (one actually... LOL) for a photo of myself while creating the "missives" I send out into the blogosphere in the middle of the night.  So, in response to all of those "pleadings" (actually, it's up to two now... my cat Mollie just emailed me)... here it is !

 Karen Anne blogging

I have an artist working on creating a Fifteen Month calendar suitable for mounting in such places as offices, libraries, schools, churches, auto body shops and NTB Tire Stores.  Once completed, I will have my marketing agent, Phyllis Diller's older, more attractive sister Hazel, start shopping the publishing houses in New York City... to find a suitable vehicle for mass distribution.  Stay tuned for further information.

Love the picture Karen Anne! Glad to know you keep those lips looking good and red, even in the wee hours of night ;)

Hi Leah:  Well, Leah, it's surely a lot of upkeep, but luckily my cat Mollie, is also a part-time makeup artist.  She gave me a quick touch-up before the photographer arrived.  Oh... the things we do for beauty.  LOL.      Karen Anne

Karen Anne, I'm at my blogging desk early in the morning and late at night (sometimes way too late).  Please send me a calendar when they become available.

Karen Anne - You are too funny! I bet the calenders will be a highly sought after gift this year! Keep up the blogging!

Brian:  Yes... here we are... blogging away... and one day we'll look up, and it'll be 2012.  LOL.  And yes, I'll put you on "the list" for Ms Blogger's calendar.  By the way, Ms Blogger pictured above may be reached at her email address at FairyBlogmother@aol.com        Thanks for your comment.

Hi Paula:  Yes... Ms Blogger's calendars... once the artist is finished, and they come back from the printer...will be high on everyone's Christmas List I am sure.  Why... NTB (National Tire and Battery) has pre-ordered several thousand.  I can see them now... hanging proudly back in the tire-remounting area... right next to the 55 gallon drum of used motor oil.  I feel so honored.  LOL      Thanks for your comment, Paula.

I'd post a picture of myself blogging as well, but no one needs to see a grown man sitting in his boxer shorts drinking a pot of coffee at 2 AM!  Thanks for an amusing post, and look forward to that calendar.

This was a funny post, Karen Anne.  Maybe the next time I am in the Dallas area visiting my mom or attending a Cowboys game, we could grab lunch or a coffee.

Paul - I laughed out loud at your comments (too close to home)!

Paul:  Reading your post is kind of like one of those "don't think about pink elephants" kind of things.  But, no, that's prolly one image my mind does not need to see.  Thanks for commenting...

Hi Jason:  That would be great.  Just a little bit of notice, and I would love to sit and chat.  By the way, I drove down Lamar near the Road To Six Flags yesterday, and you can really see the new Cowboy's stadium getting pretty high up in the air.  It won't be long, now  Thanks for reading and for your comment...

Hello Karen Anne,
Love the pic!  As soon as I clicked on your blog my first thought was "where did she find that clip art?"  I knew it was too good to be true!  I'll be checking you out regularly.
Posted by Cynthia Tilghman, Realtor® Onslow County NC Home Specialist (Kingsbridge Realty, Inc) about 10 years ago

Hi Cynthia:  Yes, I love the picture, too.  You know how it goes... you look and look for something specific when you really need it... and nothing !  Then, just as things are going along normally, BOINGGG... there it is... out of nowhere.  And I say to myself... "Wow, I need to save that.  I just KNOW someday I'll have a use for that.

So, that's what this picture was.  A friend of mine sent it to me about six months ago, and I just loved it.  So... I saved it.  Then, when I got the idea for this blog post one night in my office at about one in the morning... I knew I already had the perfect picture.  So, that's how it happened.  Cynthia... thanks for stopping by.  I'll have to check out your postings, too.  Take care...      Karen Anne

PS... Cynthia:  Today it is exactly one month since I joined Active Rain... so I'm just beginning to figure things out.

PPS... I started to submit this comment, and went to the "What does the graphic say? to type in the word, and today's word is "myrtle."  And... my old, worn-out memory immediately went to... "Myrtle the Turtle and Flip the Frog... Lived on Lilly Pod Lane... "  It's a childhood song I haven't thought of for perhaps fifty-five years.  Things just turn up where they "turn up."  No way to control it.  So... there I have it... a new idea for my next blog post... LOL.

Karen-Anne - That is very cool.  It is scheduled to open in 2009, right?
Posted by Jason Crouch, Broker - Austin Texas Real Estate (512-796-7653) (Austin Texas Homes, LLC) about 10 years ago

Jason:  I just KNEW mentioning the new Cowboy's stadium would bring a comment from you.  Would you like me to send you some pictures ?

Yes, as far as I know, it is scheduled to be open for the 2009 season.  So... down boy, down boy.  It's coming... keep yer shirt on... LOL.

By the way... what does a girl around here have to do to get a 5, or to get one of her posts featured ?  LOL.  Sheesh !

Posted by Karen Anne Stone, Fort Worth Real Estate (New Home Hunters of Fort Worth and Tarrant County) about 10 years ago

KAREN ANNE - I have written 87 posts so far, and 2 of them were featured, but one of them placed 3rd in Adam's contest.  I have a number of posts that I felt were "feature-worthy", but they didn't make it.  I just keep plugging away at it.  As I mentioned in my post about "What Active Rain Can Do...", I am averaging 338 points per post on my non-Localism stuff now.  I think it's just a matter of developing a bit of a following, then the word seems to get out.

Please post some photos of the new stadium if you have a chance.  I would love to see them.  I think I want to attend at least one more game at Texas Stadium just for nostalgia's sake.

The Heels Karen Anne!!  You're making ME look bad as I sit in my PJ's late at night or early in the morning.  Come on...you can't look PROFESSIONAL and "ready to walk out the door" all the time!!  I can't wait to see this!!
Posted by Susie Roscoe, Real Estate Specialist | Brandon, FL (Signature Realty Associates) about 10 years ago
KAREN ANNE:  What a lovely portrait.  I can't wait to see the other 14 photos my little calendar girl!  Will you be sending these calendars out to your friends at AR, or will I have to purchase it at a kiosk in the mall during the holiday season?
Posted by Adam Waldman, Realtor - Long Island (Westcott Group Real Estate Company) about 10 years ago

Hi Susie:  No, I don't look like that "all the time."  Actually, I rarely look that good.  I'm just a country girl from Cleveland, Ohio trying to make it in the "bright lights and city life" of Fort Worth, Texas.

I must admit, though, that there are some days I'd much rather be lying on a blanket on the beach at Longboat Key.  Whaddya think ?

And, yes, I am usually in my PJ's or Nightgown when I am at my blogging desk.  Thanks for your comment.  I look forward to November and to actually chatting with you.                  Karen Anne

Hi, Mr Adam:  Yes, it is lovely, thank you very much.  I think I had Jose Ebert do my hair that day... can you recognize his "look?"  So you can't wait to see the other 14 photos, huh... (she said, closing her eyes and trying to remember if she could ever remember being called "my little calendar girl !"  Actually, I think that's a "first timer" for me.  So... now where did I put my scrapbook ?  LOL.

Will I be sending them out ?  I guess it all depends if you want a personalized, autographed copy or not.  And... marketing them at a kiosk during the holiday season... yer such a marketing genius.  I can see it now... they would be right next to the copies of the Dean Martin Christmas Album.

There may be a problem, though.  I just had a call from the printer.  The first printing had to be cancelled.  When they got to printing the Ms February picture, the printer went up in flames.  Mayor Bloomberg had to call in the Haz-Mat Team.  So, I might have to find another printer.  Oy. <grin>   Anyway, thanks for commenting.

Karen,

wonderful "photo" of you on missive point. Also want to thank you for taking your time to comment on our recent satire on O.J. and the news media. Right on! We completely agree with your comments, and particulary those that you mention should all be ashamed of themselves. But that would take some measure of conscience, now wouldn't it? Ane when  it comes to that, these buffoons are all hat and no cattle.

Cheers...

Hi Gary:  My above photo was of course two things.  First, a study of my working in earnest to become more adept at my blogging, but second, and perhaps even more important... the photo was a "fashion statement..." attempting to create a new "in look" to be emulated by the up-and-coming young women out in the professional world.  Especially the hair... Gary... especially the hair.  Thanks for commenting...

Hello Fairy Blog Mother! When you least expect it, your post will be featured! There is a contest running right now about 3 reasons to move to your town. Many of those entries are featured posts. I'm sure you could write a really cute contest entry (unless you already have, and I just haven't scrolled far enough down your blog posts!) A Fairy Blog Mother graphic would be really cute too, have any of those?
Posted by . . (no thanks) about 10 years ago

Hi Bridget:  Wow... a request.  Requests are good.  I will try and come up with a suitable Fairy Blogmother photo, but the most difficult part of that will be getting Jose Ebert in again to do my hair.  He's booked very far in advance, you know.  Actually, one point I try and get across in many of my posts... although I try and do it more subtly... is that Fort Worth IS such a great place to live.

I really have a very difficult time imagining just HOW any young couple just starting out... could ever buy a home in the great majority of the real estate markets around the country.  Thanks for you comment, Bridget...
