A Great New Idea on Password Protection...

As a blogger/writer, and as one who has various places where "password protection" is suggested... or more like "encouraged..." I kind of enjoyed this story that was shared with me by a Realtor friend.

Yeah... it's another "blonde joke"... but regardless... here we go...

During a recent password audit at a nearby Realtor office... it was found that a blonde receptionist was using the following password:

MickeyMinniePlutoHueyDeweyLouieDonaldGoofySacramento

When asked why she had such a long password, she said she was told it had to be at least 8 characters long, and include at least one capital.

Somehow... after reading this... I find myself feeling a definite hint of "sisterhood" with this woman.  I need to find her... and invite her to be on my real estate "team."  I think she and I would get along famously !

Eric:  I am guessing it will bring a smile to their pretty faces.  It may also make a tiny few of them pick up and throw something at you... so be prepared to duck.

Karen, I needed my laugh for today & you just gave me a great one. (8 characters and at lease one capital).

Karla:  Wow... the last time I heard from you was when you held that open house.  Yes... so nice to SEE you. Yes... I thought it was very funny, and it really made me smile as well.  Take care... have a great week.

Dennis:  I guess someone must have been peeking over your wife's shoulder one time when she was signing in.  Clever, that wife of yours.  But then again, she married YOU... so maybe not so much... LOL.

I think I'd have gone with snow white and her 7 tag alongs :)  Very cute Karen.  I needed a laugh today... just paid property taxes.

Karen...glad you can laugh along with me and at me :)

Karen Anne:  This is a joke worth repeating.  I hope I can remember it long enough to repeat it to someone.  That's my problem with jokes.  In one  ear, out the other.

Tammy:  You think you needed a laugh after paying property taxes THERE... you should see what they are in Texas.  But, then again, The People's Republic of Texas does not have a state income tax.  Tammy... I am glad it brought a smile to your face... :)

Karen,

That was funny. Me too, I'm forwarding this on.

Dennis:  Ahh yes.  I have been told many times... Oh Karen... we're not laughing AT you... we're laughing WITH you.  Uh huh... yeah... right !  But... two smiles from one joke is quite worthwhile.

Chris Ann:  Yeah... that thingie about in one ear, out the other... applies to me as well.  I just heard the joke this morning... and immediately... whilst on my FIRST cup of coffee... barely able to see yet... just HAD to write a post about it... before, of course, it totally flew out of my mind.  So... not to worry... "you are not alone."

Chris Ann:  It just hit me... about having it go "in one ear and out the other."  It reminded me of a movie title... with me changing one word of it.  It becomes... "One Flew Out of the Cuckoo's Nest."  It works for me.  :)

Terry:  I'm glad it brought a smile to your face.  That's a good thing.  It really takes a GOOD and unique joke to strike me like this one did... so when it did... I shared it.

Finding this right now just lightened the day.  With all the gadgetry we work with and all the passwords, and numbers, and pins it is sometimes just maddening.  This, is funny. Thanks.

Michael:  Jeez.... this is something you should know, doggone it.  The capital is GOOFY.  It is the capital of South Carolina... AND... the capital of Alaska.

Alaska HAD Sarah Palin as its governor, and South Carolina's governor... who just got back from another hike in the mountains of Argentina... (this time, he took Tiger Woods with him)... is Mark Sanford.  And... ya gotta admit... those two are pretty darn GOOFY !

Larry:  Lightening up your day is part of my job description.  Glad to do it !  You are quite welcome... it has been my pleasure bringing a smile to your face.  Me... and Sarah... and Mark and Tiger, too.  :)

Hi Karen Anne,

I love it!!! Does this mean I'm a blonde or I think like a blonde???  I love how she changed the last word to something not relative to Disney...  ;>))

Always try to use 3 numbers, 3 letters and one letter should be capitalized. If you do have to write the password down somewhere, leave out the captial letter.
