I have such nice neighbors !  I moved into my home about four years ago.  I was one of first ones to move into the neighborhood... and have enjoyed living here.

I live in the greater Fort Worth area.  As the first four years have gone by... the trees and shrubs in the neighborhood have gradually grown to where my neighborhood no longer looks like the landscaping has just been planted.  That's kind of nice.  It looks quite homey... and I must admit... it is a very nice, very friendly neighborhood.

So... what is this thing I speak of as far as knowing my neighbors really care about me.  Well... they know I am somewhat "older"... LOL... and that I live by myself with my faithful guard-cat Mollie T. Cat.

Now... I do not know this for a fact... but I noticed the above sight a few days ago... and I can only guess what it means.

Without my knowledge... I find myself thinking that they have placed me on some sort of Dating/Matchmaker Website for "Golden Agers."  I am guessing that the very first "date" they have landed for me... is this "older gentleman" pictured above.  Not quite sure what to make of it all... this fellow seems to have some very strange facial hair growing on his chin.  Perhaps the hat he is wearing is to guard him from the sunlight.

I went over and chatted with the neighbors when I saw the empty seat when I got home.  It was then that my suspicions were confirmed. 

They sprung their "happy news" on me.  They were all excited about trying to get me all matched up for the up-coming New Years Block Party.  They seemed all enthused.  I tried to smile... but could only manage a weakly-pitiful crinkled semi-grin.  I hope they didn't notice... I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings.

But... how nice of them to try and get me a date.  I will have to go over tomorrow afternoon and introduce myself to this "gentleman"... but I am not sure this will grow into a relationship for the ages.

Such nice neighbors.  Maybe I can talk them into cutting the grass for me, too.  :)
